BBC Big Night of Musicals broadcast date has been announced. The show, which took place last month, will be shown Saturday 25 March on BBC 1 at 7:50pm.
Hosted by Jason Manford, the show features musicals including We Will Rock You The Musical, Wicked, The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical, Disney’s Newsies, Shrek the Musical UK and Ireland tour, Six The Musical, Ain’t Too Proud – The Life And Times Of The Temptations, The Bodyguard The Musical, and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King And I. There will also be a special performance from Aspects Of Love, featuring musical theatre star Michael Ball.
Further content from the concert will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on 26 March from 8-10pm, presented by Samantha Barks and Layton Williams, who have exclusive backstage access to interview the stars taking part.
This radio programme will be available on BBC Sounds for 30 days after broadcast, whilst the TV programme will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
