Full company for Crazy for You at Chichester Festival Theatre announced

The full company has been revealed for Crazy for you at the Chichester Festival. The revival is running at the venue from 11th July to 4th September 2022.

Cast for Crazy for You at Chichester Festival Theatre

Charlie Stemp will be leading the show as Bobby Child and Carly Anderson as Polly Baker. Joined by Marc Akinfolarin as Moose, Lila Anderson as Vera, Merryl Ansah as Irene Rot and Simon Anthony as Sam. In addition to, Craig Bartley as Mingo, Jason Battersby as Junior, Evonnee Bentley-Holder as Sheila and Imogen Bowtell as Elaine. Also including, Kyle Cox as Wyatt, Mathew Craig as Lank Hawkins, Bethan Downing as a swing and Jacqui Dubois as Patricia Fodor. Additionally, Nicholas Duncan as Jimmy, Tom Edden as Bela Zangler, Nathan Elwick as Custus and Don Gallagher as Everett Baker.

They are Joined by, Adrian Grove as Eugene Fodor, Laura Hills as Mitzi, Ryan Jupp as a swing and Matthew Malthouse as Pete. More cast include, Nell Martin as swing/dance captain, Joshua Nkemdilim as Billy, Kate Parr as Patsy and Sadie-Jean Shirley as Tess. Finally, Gay Soper will play Lottie Child, Bradley Trevethan as a swing, Ella Valentine as Margie and Tara Yasmin as Louise.

Charlie Stemp is returning to Chichester where he played Arthur Kipps in Half A Sixpence in 2016.

Creative team

Legendary theatremaker Susan Stroman (Young Frankenstein) will direct and choreograph the production. Also featuring music and lyrics by George and ira Gershwin and a book by Ken Ludwig.

The production has set design by Beowulf Boritt and with costumes by William Ivey Long. Lighting is by Ken Billington, musical direction is by Alan Williams and sound by Kai Harada. In addition to, New orchestrations is by Doug Besterman and Mark Cumberland, with original orchestrations by William David Brohn. Lastly, New arrangements by David Krane and original arrangements by Peter Howard.
