TV personality Gemma ‘The GC’ Collins will star as Mama Morton in the UK and Ireland tour of the international smash hit musical Chicago.
Gemma Collins will join the Chicago tour at the Sunderland Empire from 31st May 2022. She will then be touring Cardiff New Theatre, Blackpool Winter Gardens and Sheffield Lyceum. before finishing at Norwich Theatre Royal and New Theatre, Oxford.
Producer David Ian said: “We were completely stunned by Gemma’s audition for the role. She’s an undeniable force both on and off stage, and we can’t wait to see her portrayal of ‘Mama Morton’ on tour. Audiences across the country are in for a treat.”
Gemma joins Faye Brookes as Roxie Hart, Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly and Jamie Baughan as Amos Hart. Also joining B.E. Wong as Mary Sunshine, with the role of Billy Flynn to be announced soon.
Completing the cast is, Ishmail Aaron, Michelle Andrews and Gabby Antrobus. Also including, Delycia Belgrave, Joel Benjamin and Tanisha-Mae Brown. In addition to, Daniel Clift, Callum Fitzgerald and Emily Goodenough. Additionally, Billie Hardy, Aaron Jenkins and Liam Marcellino. Lastly, Theo Reece, Hollie Jane Stephens and Harrison Wilde.
