It has been announced that X Factor winner, Matt Terry will be leading the cast of Rock Of Ages as Stacee Jaxx. He will join the UK & Ireland tour from 25th January opening at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking and touring until 9th July 2022.
Matt Terry has also toured the world in leading roles in Dreamwork’s Madagascar The Musical and Broadway’s Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.
The cast of Rock of Ages includes Luke Walsh as Drew, Rhiannon Chesterman as Sherrie and Joe Gash as Lonny. Following, Ross Dawes as Dennis Dupree, Gabriella Williams as Regina and Jenny Fitzpatrick as Justice. Also staring, Vas Constanti as Hertz Klinemann, Andrew Carthy as Franz Klinenmann and Erin Bell as Constance. The cast also include, Billy Roberts, Joshua Dever, Scott Hayward and Siobhan James. Lastly, Phoebe Samuel-Gray, Morgan Scott, Janine Somcio and Sam Turrell.
The creative team includes Nick Winston who will direct and choreograph the show. Following, Morgan Large who will be doing the set and costume design. Lastly, Lighting design is by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Ben Harrison and video and projection design by Duncan McLean.
The musical features songs including “We Built This City”, “The Final Countdown”, “Here I Go Again”, “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and “I Want to Know What Love Is”. It is a love story set in an LA music venue, and was made into a film in 2012.
