The Lion King UK and Ireland tour will continue its hit run with new dates and venues added.
The award-winning show is currently running at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre (to 15 October), ahead of a Manchester Palace from 27 October to 19 February 2023.
New dates and venues include Sunderland Empire from 16 March to 6 May, and Birmingham Hippodrome from Thursday 6 July to Saturday 16 September 2023.
Priority tickets for both Sunderland Empire and Birmingham Hippodrome will be available from 11am on 11 October. The general sale will begin at 10am on 14 October.
The production is directed by Julie Taymor, with choreography by Garth Fagan. Set design is by Richard Hudson, lighting by Donald Holder, and costumes by Julie Taymor,. The book was adapted by Roger Allers, who co-directed the animated feature and Irene Mecchi, who co-wrote the screenplay.
