Casting has been revealed for The Time Traveller’s Wife musical ahead of its world premiere in Chester. The show runs at Storyhouse from 30 September – 15 October 2022.  The two-week season will have a West End transfer, with a later date to be announced.

David Hunter (Waitress) will star as Henry and Joanna Woodward (Pretty Woman: The Musical) as Clare. Alongside Aisha Davis (UK theatre debut) as Dr Kendrick, Ross Dawes (Rock of Ages) as Henry’s Dad and Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Charisse. In addition to, Stevie Hutchinson (Ghost: The Musical) as Clare’s Dad, Tim Mahendran (Spring Awakening) as Gomez and Sorelle Marsh (White Christmas) as Henry’s Mum. More cast include, Benjamin Purkiss (Zorro the Musical) as Jason/Mark and Alwyne Taylor (Blithe Spirit) as Old Clare.  The actresses playing Young Clare will be announced shortly.

Award-winning singer Joss Stone and Dave Stewart (Eurythmics fame) will create the original musical score, with Stewart previously working on the stage version of the romantic fantasy film Ghost.

The show has a book by Lauren Gunderson, with additional music by Nick Finlow and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan.

The Time Traveller’s Wife musical is directed by Bill Buckhurst and designed by Anna Fleischle. Choreography is by Shelley Maxwell, lighting design by Lucy Carter and illusions by Chris Fisher. Additionally, video design by Andrzej Goulding, sound design by Richard Brooker, musical supervision and arrangement by Nick Finlow and orchestrations by Bryan Crook. Casting is by Grindrod Burton Casting.
