The full casting has been announced for The Seagull. The show will run from the 29th June – 10th September 2022, at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Previously announced cast are Emilia Clarke (Nina), Tom Rhys Harries (Trigorin) and Daniel Monks (Konstantin). Also, Indira Varma (Arkadina) and Sophie Wu (Masha).

New cast members are: Jason Barnett (Shamrayev), Robert Glenister (Sorin) and Mika Onyx Johnson (Medvedenko). In addition to, Gerald Kyd (Dorn) and Sara Powell (Polina). Also including understudies Katie Buchholz, Tina Harris, Joseph Langdon and David Lee-Jones

The Seagull is about a young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man is pining after the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for a sense of achievement. An actress wants to fight the changing of the times. In an isolated home in the countryside where dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed, hearts broken and there is nowhere left to turn, the only option is to turn on each other.

The piece, adapted from Chekhov by Anya Reiss, has Jamie Lloyd as the director. Additionally, design is by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design is by Jackie Shemesh and composition and sound design is by George Dennis.

For certain Monday evening and Wednesday matinee performances there will be £15 seats available across the house exclusively for under 30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits.

Additionally there is 5,000 free tickets for those with limited access to the arts, distributed by the company’s outreach manager.

The show opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre on the 29th June – 10th September 2022.
