Hadestown will be returning to the UK in 2024! It was first in the UK at the National Theatre in 2018, then went on to win eight Tony Awards on Broadway.

Hadestown is written by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, additionally providing book, lyrics and music for the musical. Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back. 

The musical is directed by Rachel Chavkin, with design by Rachel Hauck, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Bradley King, sound by Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz, choreography by David Neumann, musical direction and vocal arrangements by Liam Robinson, and orchestrations and arrangements by Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose.
