It has been announced that Steven Spielberg‘s West Side Story will be released on Disney Plus on 2nd March.
The film has recently been nominated for seven Oscars. Among the cast are Ansel Elgort as Tony, Rachel Zegler as Maria and Ariana DeBose as Anita. Also staring David Alvarez as Bernardo and Josh Andrés Rivera as Chino as the main cast.
West Side Story features music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. The movie is an American take on Romeo and Juliet, with the young lovers, Tony and Maria, trapped in a feud between rival street gangs – the Sharks and the Jets.

West side Story will be available in most countries on Disney Plus on the 2nd March 2022.
