Wicked have announced the new West End principal members of the cast. The new London cast will commence their run on the 1st of February 2022. The production will stay at The Apollo Victoria Theatre.
Starring as Elphaba will be Lucie Jones! Lucie is set to leave her iconic role of Jenna in Waitress the UK tour in December, with Chelsea Halfpenny taking over her role in Waitress. Lucie will then be heading off the land of Oz in the new year. Other stars to be appearing in the principal cast include: Ryan Reid (Dreamgirls) as Fiyero. Sophie-Louise Dann as Madame Morrible (The Windsors: Endgame). Gary Wilmot as the Wizard (Anything Goes).
The complete new London cast from Tuesday 1 February 2022 will be: Lucie Jones (Elphaba), Helen Woolf (Glinda), Ryan Reid (Fiyero), Sophie-Louise Dann (Madame Morrible), Gary Wilmot (The Wizard).
Other members of the cast include: Carina Gillespie (Nessarose), Nicholas McLean (Boq), Simeon Truby (Doctor Dillamond) and Amy Webb (Standby for Elphaba). Alongside Charli Baptie* (Standby for Glinda), Yuki Abe, Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Meg Astin, Alishia-Marie Blake, Pàje Campbell and Grace Chapman.
Additionally, Michael Colbourne, Fergus Dale, Nolan Edwards, Nicola Espallardo. Danny Fogarty and Laura Harrison, Amie Hibbert and Lucie Horsfall will also join the production. Also adding to the cast, Samuel How, Christian Knight, Nick Len, Jasmine Leung and Rhidian Marc. PaddyJoe Martin, Jessica-Alice McCluskey, Stacey McGuire, Harry Mills, Lewis Newton will also add to the cast. In addition, Natalie Spriggs, Samantha Thomas, Joe Thompson-Oubari and James Titchener will join Wicked from February 2022.
