After 17 years since the finale of friends, the cast were reunited in one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, Friends; the reunion. Seeing the iconic cast all in one room brought a great sense of nostalgia, but we also got to see the original set put back together for the last time.
This reunion took us behind the scenes and showed us the extreme lengths the producers, directors, cast and crew had to go to, to make what we know as one of the most loved TV shows in history. From the casting process, to the set up, to it developing significant fame, to listening to what the audiences wanted, filming through to the finale, we discovered more to the show than we had ever known. Discussing back stage antics, off screen relationships, accidents, bloopers, friendships and everything in between!
We saw some of the featured characters appear and discuss their time on the show; however many missed seeing Paul Rudd famously known for playing Mike on the show, unfortunately due to covid we think it may have been down to restriction on numbers, but all the fans showed how much he was missed!
The reunion also featured famous faces and fans of the show discussing what friends meant to them. Friends has truly been an iconic piece of art that has touched many lives, for so many, it is not just a TV show. Fans of the show, loved the reunion, but from an artistic point of view the magic was even more art warming. The cast and crew worked together on the show for 10 years, with 10 years worth of genuine relationships created within the show, touching many audience members lives’ with their comfort, genuine friendships and laughter, as a creative or a performer, you could only dream of being part of such an incredible show.
The reunion is available to watch on NowTV, so if you haven’t had chance to give it a watch, know that you will be taken on a trip down memory lane seeing the phenomenal set, creatives and cast of the show. If this reunion shows anything to its fans, it is that Friends, will always be there for you.
